He stated that this close collaboration is essential for the well-being of both countries and the broader international community. This announcement comes amidst a backdrop of global tensions, including the US imposing tariffs on Indian goods and penalties for purchasing discounted crude oil from Moscow. Addressing the Ukraine war, PM Modi welcomed peace efforts and hoped for a constructive resolution to end the conflict and establish lasting peace. He reflected on the close ties between New Delhi and Moscow, highlighting the value of their meetings and regular high-level interactions. PM Modi also shared that the 1.4 billion Indians are eagerly awaiting President Putin’s visit to New Delhi in December. The Russian President has also appreciated India and China’s efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war. He also slammed Ukraine’s western allies, which he claimed supported “the coup d’etat in Kyiv”.
