An Italian adult website has sparked widespread outrage by posting doctored images of several prominent Italian women, including Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and her sister Arianna. The manipulated images, which were accompanied by sexist and offensive captions, have led to significant public backlash. The images, believed to have been sourced from social media or public platforms, were altered and uploaded to the Italian adult site Phica, which has over 700,000 subscribers. The images featured female politicians from across the political spectrum, using images from public appearances, such as rallies and TV interviews, as well as from holiday photos. The modifications involved zooming in on specific body parts and portraying the women in suggestive sexual poses. These altered images were subsequently featured in the “VIP section” of the website. Following the revelation, members of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) have filed a legal complaint, and the police have initiated an investigation into the case. Other prominent women, including actor and filmmaker Paola Cortellesi, known for directing *C’è Ancora Domani* (*There’s Still Tomorrow*), a film on domestic violence, and influencer Chiara Ferragni, were also victims of this manipulation. Valeria Campagna, a PD politician who filed an official complaint, shared her feelings on Facebook, expressing her disgust, anger, and disappointment, and stating her decision not to stay silent. She wrote, “Not just photos in a swimsuit but moments from my public and private life,” and added, “Beneath them there were sexist, vulgar and violent comments. I can’t stay silent because this story isn’t just about me. It’s about all of us. It’s about our right to be free, respected and to live without fear.”
