Ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit plenary session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted images showcasing his interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Modi’s post on X stated, “Interactions in Tianjin continue! Exchanging perspectives with President Putin and President Xi during the SCO Summit.” The images depicted Modi and Putin warmly greeting each other. They were also seen walking together towards Xi, engaging in casual conversation before the plenary session. Following this, they participated in a group photo with other SCO members. A bilateral meeting between PM Modi and President Putin was planned to occur after the plenary session. Further, PM Modi and President Xi Jinping held bilateral talks, where they acknowledged the positive development of bilateral relations since their last meeting at the BRICS Summit in Kazan in October 2024.
