By India Today Web Desk: Soon after being sworn in because the UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak started placing his high workforce in place. As he vowed to repair the errors made by his predecessor, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak made key Cabinet appointments as he geared as much as handle challenges plaguing the UK.
While Suella Braverman was appointed as house secretary, Jeremy Hunt was retained as the brand new chancellor. Here’s a take a look at the Cabinet reshuffle to date:
Indian-origin Conservative Party MP Suella Braverman has been appointed because the UK’s Home Secretary. The transfer comes simply six days after she stop the submit, taking accountability for “technical breach of government rules on sending an email”.
Meanwhile, Dominic Raab, a detailed ally of Sunak, has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister & Justice Secretary. Raab had served as Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary within the Boris Johnson-led Cabinet.
For financial stability, Jeremy Hunt was reappointed as Chancellor for financial stability. Hunt, who was parachuted in earlier this month by former PM Liz Truss and went on to reverse her tax-cutting mini-budget, has been an ally of Sunak.
James Cleverly was reappointed because the Foreign Secretary. Taking to Twitter, Cleverly stated he was honoured to serve the nation and added that “protecting the vulnerable – and people’s jobs, mortgages and bills – will be at the front of our minds as we work to restore stability, confidence and long-term growth.”

Ben Wallace has been re-appointed as Defence Secretary. Taking to Twitter, Ben Wallace stated, “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead Defence again. I am very grateful to the new Prime Minister for appointing me, and I look forward to working with Rishi Sunak to deliver a safe and prosperous United Kingdom.”

Therese Coffey, who was deputy prime minister in Liz Truss Cabinet, has now been appointed secretary of state for atmosphere, meals and rural affairs.
Gillian Keegan has been appointed as Education Secretary. Gillian Keegan, who turned an MP in 2017, is the fifth schooling secretary up to now 4 months.

Penny Mordaunt, who withdrew from the UK PM race on Monday, has been re-appointed as lord president of the council and chief of the House of Commons.
Michael Gove has been appointed as Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Secretary, whereas Steve Barclay has been given cost as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. Mel Stride and Grant Shapps have been appointed as Work and Pensions Secretary and Business Secretary respectively.
Oliver Dowden has been appointed because the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on Tuesday.
Kemi Badenoch and Michelle Donelan have been reappointed as International Trade Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities and Culture Secretary respectively.
Meanwhile, many from the Liz Truss and Boris Johnson faction of the governing Conservative Party resigned quickly after Rishi Sunak took cost at 10 Downing Street. Indian-origin MP Alok Sharma misplaced his Cabinet Office Minister position to stay solely as COP26 President to barter on behalf of the UK at COP27 in Egypt subsequent month.
Jacob Rees-Mogg resigned as Business Secretary, Brandon Lewis as Justice Secretary, Kit Malthouse as Education Secretary and Sri Lankan-origin Ranil Jayawardena as Environment Secretary.
