The pursuit of peace in Syria is once again under threat. Amidst continuous Israeli strikes and the reluctance of various factions to reconcile with the government, the recent skirmishes involving the Druze and Bedouin communities have further destabilized the situation. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reported clashes with government forces in the Aleppo province. This conflict threatens to undo the March agreement which had seen the Kurds join the Syrian government. The SDF has declared that government forces attacked four of its positions in Dayr Hafir and holds the government fully responsible. The SDF is prepared to exercise its right to respond with full force.
