The new policy of the Trump administration is set to create difficulties for many families in the United States. The administration is planning to eliminate roughly 300,000 government jobs this year, leading to a considerable reduction in the federal workforce. This was revealed by Scott Cooper, the new director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). This cut would constitute a decrease of nearly 12.5% in the federal workforce since January. Cooper noted that 80% of the employees who leave will do so voluntarily, while 20% will be terminated. This figure is approximately double the 154,000 employees reported by Reuters last month who left via voluntary retirement packages.
