US Military Continues Daily Strikes to Undermine Iran's Capabilities

The U.S. Central Command confirmed that its campaign against Iran entered its ninth night on Sunday, with fresh strikes launched at 7 p.m. UTC. The purpose of these missions is to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz and to limit the use of its naval and aerial assets against civilian shipping. On July 18, a separate operation concluded at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time, following direct orders from the top commander. That raid hit multiple Iranian sites, including coastal monitoring posts, air‑defence batteries, naval facilities, and storage areas for missiles and drones. In addition, forces linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that participated in a July 17 attack on U.S. personnel in Jordan were also targeted.
