By India Today World Desk: The United States helps a constructive dialogue and significant dialog between India and Pakistan, State Department spokesperson Ned Price mentioned on Thursday. The US official reiterated that it is for India and Pakistan to determine on the character of that dialogue.

“We support constructive dialogue. We support diplomacy between India and Pakistan to resolve long-standing disputes. We are a partner, and we are willing to support that process in any way that they deem appropriate,” the Biden administration official mentioned.

“But ultimately, these are decisions that India and Pakistan themselves are going to have to make,” Ned Price mentioned, refusing any meditating function for the US in talks between India and Pakistan.

“Ultimately, it is not for the United States to determine the modalities or the way in which India and Pakistan engage one another,” Ned Price added.

The assertion comes a day after a report by US intelligence mentioned Pakistan has a protracted historical past of supporting anti-India militant teams and India is extra possible to make use of navy pressure on “real Pakistani provocation” beneath the management of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
