Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that Russia only understands the ‘language of force’ and called for its use in all upcoming international engagements. He is concentrating on the success of the June summits, including the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, and vowed that they will not be unproductive. He mentioned that key meetings and negotiations will take place in Ukraine in the coming weeks. The G7 Summit will be held in Canada from June 15-17, 2025. The anticipated exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine was disrupted due to disagreements. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is working to secure the release of its POWs and the repatriation of fallen soldiers. He also noted that Russia has not provided the full lists for the exchange, as agreed in Istanbul. Zelenskyy accused Russia of trying to use the situation for political gain and reiterated Ukraine’s commitment to keeping the exchange process active.
