The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction is in full swing in New Delhi, with all five franchises – Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and UP Warriorz – actively assembling their squads. The auction began with a highly anticipated marquee set featuring eight top players, with Deepti Sharma, Amelia Kerr, and Sophie Devine quickly attracting significant bids. A major talking point was Australian captain Alyssa Healy not receiving any bids.

Teams are strategically reinforcing their lineups through this auction. A continuously updated list of all player purchases at the WPL 2026 auction is provided below.

The upcoming WPL 2026 season is reportedly scheduled to commence on January 8 or 9, utilizing Mumbai and Baroda as host cities. The D.Y. UP Warriorz have secured Deepti Sharma for ₹3.2 crore (RTM), Sophie Ecclestone for ₹0.85 crore (RTM), Meg Lanning for ₹1.90 crore, Phoebe Litchfield for ₹1.20 crore, Kiran Navgire for ₹0.60 crore (RTM), Harleen Deol for ₹0.50 crore, Kranti Goud for ₹0.50 crore (RTM), Asha Sobhana for ₹1.10 crore, Deandra Dottin for ₹80 lakh, and Shikha Pandey for ₹2.40 crore.

Mumbai Indians’ notable signings include Amelia Kerr for ₹3.00 crore, Shabnim Ismail for ₹0.60 crore, Sanskruti Gupta for ₹0.20 crore, Sajeevan Sajana for ₹75 lakh, Rahila Firdous for ₹10 lakh, and Nicola Carey for ₹30 lakh.

Delhi Capitals have brought in Laura Wolvaardt for ₹1.10 crore, Chinelle Henry for ₹1.30 crore, Shree Charani for ₹1.30 crore, Sneh Rana for ₹0.50 crore, Lizelle Lee for ₹0.30 crore, and Deeya Yadav for ₹0.10 crore.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s new additions are Georgia Voll for ₹0.60 crore, Nadine de Klerk for ₹0.65 crore, Radha Yadav for ₹0.65 crore, Lauren Bell for ₹0.90 crore, Linsey Smith for ₹0.30 crore, Prema Rawat for ₹0.20 crore (RTM), Arundhati Reddy for ₹75 lakh, and Pooja Vastrakar for ₹85 lakh.

There is also early indication that the WPL 2026 season might adopt a two-leg format, with phases hosted in Navi Mumbai and Baroda, providing a unique structure for the competition.
