One of WWE’s most prominent figures, John Cena, is preparing to retire, leaving behind a legacy that has defined an era. Cena has confirmed that he will compete in only ten more matches, with his final match scheduled for December 13, 2025. This announcement has sparked a wave of nostalgia and anticipation, as fans reflect on Cena’s incredible career.

Since revealing his retirement plans at Money In The Bank 2024, Cena has delivered a series of unforgettable moments. He narrowly missed winning the Royal Rumble and later secured a victory at the Elimination Chamber, showcasing his sustained prowess. One of the most surprising moments was Cena’s heel turn, teaming with The Rock to betray Cody Rhodes—a moment that went viral. This turn paved the way for a WrestleMania main event victory over Rhodes, where Cena captured his record-breaking 17th World Championship. He subsequently defended the title against Randy Orton and CM Punk and even formed a tag team with Logan Paul, demonstrating his versatility.

Before SummerSlam, WWE returned Cena to his beloved babyface persona for a rematch with Rhodes. This setup led to a highly anticipated match with Brock Lesnar. Cena is also set to face Logan Paul at Clash in Paris on August 31. At a SmackDown event in Dublin, Cena was visibly moved by the fans’ reaction, delivering a passionate promo, and criticizing Paul before knocking over Paul’s Prime Hydration Station. Cena also shared his regret about not having the chance to wrestle Dominik Mysterio, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, The Usos, and Jacob Fatu. As Cena prepares for his final matches, the wrestling world is poised to celebrate a career that has left an indelible mark on the industry.
