Former cricketer Yograj Singh has made some strong claims about the relationships within the Indian cricket team, particularly focusing on the friendship between Virat Kohli and his son, Yuvraj Singh. Singh, who is known for his controversial remarks, has previously targeted other prominent figures in the sport and has now aimed his criticism at Kohli and other teammates.

In a recent interview, Yograj Singh discussed the friendships of his son, Yuvraj, and suggested that his talent caused others to be intimidated. He went on to accuse Kohli, Dhoni, and the rest of Yuvraj’s teammates of betraying him, using the term “backstabbers.”

The interview touched on the period when Kohli became captain in 2017, after Dhoni, and Yuvraj Singh received limited opportunities, eventually being dropped from the team soon after the Champions Trophy. This happened despite the perceived friendship between Yuvraj and Kohli.

Yograj Singh expressed his belief that true friendship is rare in the world of professional sports, where success often takes precedence. He stated that he advised Yuvraj that genuine friends are hard to find in such a competitive environment. He pointed to Sachin Tendulkar as Yuvraj’s only real friend.

According to Yograj Singh, Tendulkar was the only one who always supported Yuvraj and wanted him to succeed. He suggested that some teammates were fearful of Yuvraj’s talent, claiming that they were worried about being overshadowed. He claimed that Dhoni and other players were intimidated by Yuvraj’s abilities and the threat he posed.

These comments from Yograj Singh have sparked debate about the nature of relationships in professional sports and the pressures players face, especially when competing for success.
