Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has hit the ground running at the World Economic Forum in Zurich, starting with a significant sit-down with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. This encounter launches a dedicated mission to draw investments into AP, as shared enthusiastically by Naidu on X.

Naidu’s schedule featured talks with World Bank Group head Ajay Banga and a congratulatory exchange with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who made history as his state’s first WEF participant at Davos-Closters.

A rousing airport welcome by Ambassador Mridul Kumar, alongside Union Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, was amplified by cheers from Telugu expatriates, NRIs, and TDP loyalists representing over 20 European countries.

Naidu articulated his honor in championing AP at the WEF, themed ‘A Spirit of Dialogue,’ uniting diverse global leaders. The event anticipates 3,000 attendees from 130 countries, including India’s seven participating CMs.

Backed by meticulous presentations, the AP team targets investments in high-growth domains: green energy, green ammonia production, AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, tourism, hospitality, education, and healthcare.

Standouts include the Quantum Valley initiative in Amaravati, quantum training for one lakh professionals (with 50,000 sign-ups), and the Kakinada green energy plant. Following Rs 2.36 lakh crore in prior WEF-sourced investments, this visit aims to replicate and exceed those gains.

Through detailed briefings on policies and projects, Naidu’s outreach to multinational giants promises to catalyze economic momentum, creating jobs and propelling AP towards sustainable prosperity.
